San Francisco’s Biggest Bavarian Block Party Returns!

Dust off your lederhosen and dirndl! Oktoberfest on Front, San Francisco’s biggest Bavarian block party, is back on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Co-hosted by the Downtown SF Partnership and Schroeder’s, join us for a full-blown Bavarian celebration in the streets featuring live music, legendary beer hall games, and all ice cold beer your heart desires. Prost!

All ages are welcome. Attendees interested in consuming alcohol must by 21 years of age or older and present a valid ID upon entry. Bikes, strollers, and four-legged fur babies welcome. This is a smoke-free event per SF Health Code, Article 19L.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Live Music on the Outdoor Stage: Dance in the streets to authentic Bavarian yodeling and polka by Ladyhosen, followed by dance hits from powerhouse party band, Pop Rocks.
• Front Street Festivities: Get in on the action with classic beer hall games like stein holding, beer chugging (non-alcoholic), our best-dressed contest, and more!
• Bar Specials: With over 70 beers on tap and German food specials between the West Coast’s oldest Bavarian Beer Hall, Schroeder’s, plus Harrington’s Bar & Grill, and Royal Exchange, you’d best bring your appetite!
