Free San Francisco Chamber Orchestra Concerts

Founded in 1953, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra has remained an active voice in the Bay Area music community, presenting free concerts with an ensemble of the region’s top professional musicians.

Admission is free and seating is first come, first served (no tickets).

Supporting members typically receive priority seating and priority entrance 60 minutes before concert time; please bring your membership card with you. Non-members may enter 45 minutes before concert time.

The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra opens its season with a world premiere by BMI Foundation Composer-in-Residence Michael Gilbertson, finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Music 2018.

The concert continues with an interactive demonstration with Maestro Ben Simon and the SFCO guiding you through Beethoven Symphony No 6, revealing its hidden depths and beauties followed by a complete performance.

The Sixth Symphony brims with its gentle, poetic beauty, affirming the splendor of nature and life.
