SF Chinatown’s 2023 Lion Dance “Youth Dance Revolution” Showcase (May 27-28)

The Youth Dance Revolution, hosted by LionDanceME, presents 8 high school dance clubs from around the Bay Area; Washington Kpop, Groove Initiative, Homestead Krew, Galileo Kpop, Balboa Hip Hop Fusion, KOEX, Koresence, and Double Down Breaks. With a variety of genres, the competition brings together inspired a competition, we ultimately have the goal of supporting these groups in, driven, and spirited dancers with similar aspirations. Although this is a competition, we ultimately have the goal of supporting these groups in establishing a more well known youth dance community. By providing this platform, we hope these dance clubs will continue to expand and bring joy to themselves and new audiences all around the Bay Area.

There are two awards of this competition, one of them being by popular vote, and the other being by the viewing of judges. Winners of the popular vote will receive a donation to the club itself, and the judges’ award will consist of free tickets to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom for the team.
