As part of the International Women’s Strike movement, in the San Francisco Bay Area there will be 24 hours of action on March 8, 2018.
Lets us make our presence visible: wear red and be vocal about women, LGBTQI, immigrant and people of color rights, as well as those with disabilities.
SF International Women’s Day of Action Rally
Thursday, March 8, 2018 | 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Civic Center, San Francisco
- Noon: Local Speak-Out/ Strike Action at local workplaces, schools, and neighborhoods
- 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm: Rally at Civic Center Plaza: Community Speakers and followed by an Open Mic Speak Out for any community member to have their voice heard.
Scheduled speakers include leaders from Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense, NARAL, Senior and Disability Action, Mujer Unidos, AFT 2121 and more.
We call on local unions, both elected officials and rank and file workers, as well as labor councils to actively engage with this re-emerging independent, non-corporate, and grassroots women’s movement, for we believe our unions and working class women have been and should continue to be at the center of this struggle.
