The Tony Award-winning San Francisco Mime Troupe continues its 53rd season with more free, lively satire performances in park settings around the Bay Area.
Founded in 1959, the San Francisco Mime Troupe creates and produces socially relevant theater; despite the name “mime,” their work is not silent, but live musical comedy and political satire.
The 2012 theme, “For the Greater Good, or The Last Election,” turns the 19th century melodrama “The Poor of New York” on its head and tells it from the point of view of the fat cats who have bankrupt this country.
