Event Details

Special launch event and a live taping of Pacific Standard Time (PST) – the weekly podcast about what’s happening in CA and why it matters

Join The San Francisco Standard for a special launch event and the first-ever live taping of Pacific Standard Time (PST), its weekly podcast about what’s happening in California and why it matters.

Each week, co-hosts Emily Dreyfuss (SF Standard Culture Editor) and Jesse Alejandro Cottrell (SF Standard Enterprise reporter) dig into stories that capture something essential about California, from a small-town mayor’s battle with ICE, to the rise of always-on AI recording devices, to a wide-ranging conversation with Gov. Gavin Newsom*.

For this special event at Manny’s, we’ll bring PST to the stage for the first time. Our topic and special guests will be announced shortly, but expect a smart, surprising, and lively conversation about a defining storyline in San Francisco right now and how what happens here shapes the state.

Come celebrate the launch of the show, hear a live conversation, and be part of the PST community from the very beginning.
