Local music fans are gearing up for warm weather and smooth sounds with the arrival of SFJazz Summerfest at the Stanford Shopping Center.

Mads Tolling Quartet – August 9

Mads Tolling is an internationally renowned violinist, composer and member of the Grammy-winning Turtle Island Quartet. Formed in 2007, his own Mads Tolling Quartet uniquely integrates the violin into the classic jazz combo and consists of some of the finest musicians in the Bay Area, including guitarist Mike Abraham, bassist George Ban- Weiss and drummer Eric Garland.

The ten-week concert series is hosted by Stanford Shopping Center and produced by SFJAZZ, a leading non-profit jazz organization on the West Coast .
