This is the First Annual Keiro No Hi Festival! There are two sessions 1-3pm, and 3:30-5:30pm with space for taiko drumming, odori dancing workshops, and the Japanese washi ningyo and Chigiri paper workshop, too.
Join us for a day filled with live entertainment featuring taiko drummers, washi ningyo doll book markers activity, odori dancers, and more!
Attendance will be limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Register by September 10th on Eventbrite. It includes attendance to this year’s festival, and opportunities to participate in the various festival experiences, snacks, and gifts (for those who are 60 years old and up).
A special washi ningyo bookmark workshop with artist Rochelle Lum, access to our Leland Wong art exhibit, and more hands on Japanese art activities, live performance, and gifts for our community elders!
Each session will have Taiko drumming and odori dance performance and workshops, followed by paper craft workshops in washi ningyo doll and Chigiri paper designing.
