SF’s 2 Hours Free Parking in Chinatown 2025 for Lunar New Year (Jan. 28 – Feb. 28)
To help bring more people to Chinatown, San Francisco just announced that it is now offering 2 hours free parking at the Portsmouth Square Garage throughout the month of February to help celebrate Chinese New Year.
In celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year and the year of the snake, the Portsmouth Square Garage will be offering 2 hours of free parking from January 28, 2025 to February 28, 2025. No validation needed. When you are ready to exit the garage, simply take your ticket and process it at one of the pay stations, or simply scan the QR code on your ticket with your mobile phone, the 2 hours will automatically deduct from your transaction.

Valid only January 28 – February 28, 2025
– No restrictions on time of day (Garage open 5am to Midnight)
– After two hours regular rates are $4/hour
– Evening Special – Enter after 5pm and you’ll be charged a max of $8 up until midnight)Need late night parking? Try St. Mary’s Square Garage at Kearny and California – Although there’s no free parking deal, the St. Mary’s garage is open 24 hours with rates starting at $3/hour.
There doesn’t appear to be any restrictions on this offer. (Often times when there are free parking deals, you have to enter/exit by a certain time) but this promo deal is very flexible. Enter at anytime and your first 2 hours are free. Regular rates apply after the two hours.
