SF’s 2022 North Beach Festival (June 18-19)

Now in its 66th year, The North Beach Festival is considered one of the country’s original free outdoor arts & crafts festivals. 

It attracts in excess of 50,000 attendees each year from all over the United States. Visitors will enjoy live entertainment on multiple stages, browse the offerings of fine art and crafts and enjoy gourmet food and beverages. North Beach is considered by locals and visitors alike as San Francisco’s Little Italy.

The Festival is hosted by the North Beach Business Association and all proceeds from the festival are granted to local community organizations helping those most in need. Supported programs include free meals, after-school activities, job training, temporary housing, etc.

The Festival is held on Columbus and Grant Avenues, and on numerous adjacent streets in San Francisco’s historic North Beach.

2022 Festival Updates

An exciting six block street fair brimming with live music on 3 stages, beer and wine gardens, acrobatic acts by Club Fugazi, a DJ stage, a poet’s stage, food from local North Beach restaurants, and festival food vendors, arts & crafts vendors, a Maker’s block on Grant Ave. at Union St. where festival-goers can create their own crafts, and more!

The traditional Blessing of the Animals will be at 2 pm on Sunday, June 19 in front of the National Shrine for St. Francis de Assisi, where you will also find professional chalk-artist displays.

Stages will feature bands from Hardly Strictly Bluegrass such as the Wreckless Strangers, Fog City Holdouts, the Live Oaks. Returning bands include Rudy Colombini does Sinatra, The Unofficial Rolling Stones, Shantytown, and Seventh Sons. The North Beach Festival supports the programs of the North Beach Business Association (NBBA), an invaluable community resource that provides important
programs for the area’s merchants and community like the after-school programs, local shelters and food programs, and neighborhood improvements.
