Tis the season to celebrate! One cold night very soon, in the wee hours of the morning, children will be visited by magical beings… but not Santa this time… It’s Krampus time!
Join San Francisco Krampus and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as they pay homage to the sinister and scary side of Christmas at their 4th Annual Krampus Pageant. On December 3rd, from 3pm to 7pm, come to the El Rio to watch a pageant where the naughty creatures of San Francisco will join a panel of steely judges and compete for a chance to be crowned the Krampus of 2022.
The 4th Annual Krampus Pageant winner will receive a special effects makeup gift package and an array of prizes to help numb them through the holidays… if you know what we mean! The pageant will also feature some very special (and spooky) drag performances and live music!
The competition will be on the outdoor patio, and proof of vaccination is required
to enter the venue.
Proceeds benefit The Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley/CA. Founded in 1973, Pacific Center for Human Growth is the oldest LGBTQIA+ center in the Bay Area, the third oldest in the nation, and their mission is to enhance the mental health and overall well-being of the LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC communities by providing culturally responsive therapy, peer to peer support groups, community outreach services, and facilitated workshops.
