SF’s 71st Annual Juneteenth Festival

Please join us for the 71st annual Juneteenth Festival. The San Francisco festival is the largest gathering of African-Americans in Northern California which began in the early 1950s when Wesley F. Johnson Sr., once owner of the Texas Playhouse on Fillmore Street, invited all Bay Area African-Americans to celebrate June 19 in his lounge.

Tuesday, June 15 at 6pm:

Friday, June 18, 5-8pm:

  • Black Panther Exhibit and Live DJ at the Fillmore Heritage Gallery
  • History of Juneteenth & Celebrating 71 Years of Juneteenth in the Fillmore at the Fillmore Heritage Gallery

Saturday, June 19, 12-5pm:

  • Juneteenth in-person celebration in the Fillmore, Fillmore Heritage Gallery – Street Festival (on Fillmore between Geary and Golden Gate)
