Join Goodwill for a hands-on sewing workshop as part of SF’s Climate Action Month. Learn mending and alteration skills + explore how clothing repair, donation, and reuse can support the slow fashion movement and keep textiles out of the landfill. Spots are limited.

- The workshop is free, but we welcome donations of any amount to support our career and job training programs.
- Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages provided.
- Street parking is limited in the area – public transportation is encouraged. We are close to the 27, 38 and 38R MUNI bus routes.
About Your Instructor
Dr. Connie Ulasewicz is a Professor Emerita of Apparel Design & Merchandising from San Francisco State University, with a demonstrated 35+ year career in manufacturing and global business consulting. Her recently released co-authored 3rd edition book, Sustainable Fashion: Take Action, demands that we move to a circular textile and clothing economy. Through the company that she founded, CBU Productions, Connie is a contributing member of the California State Textile Recovery Advisory Committee (STRAC), and strong supporter of clothing life extension through mending and redesign.
