SF’s Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2026

The 2026 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival hosts a full lineup of free outdoor music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, and children’s programs. The Festival opens on Saturday, May 9, 2026 with Hermán Olivera y Orquesta Taíno to kick off its 26th season. The Festival features over 100 free performances from May to November in Downtown San Francisco.

A protégé of Cuban conga legend Luis “Changuito” Quintana, Havana-born Carlitos Medrano has played an important role on the Bay Area’s Latin music scene over the past decade. After several years as a sought-after sideman, he decided to launch Sabor De Mi Cuba, a band dedicated to hard-charging Cuban salsa. Since releasing his debut album in 2012, Medrano has earned a reputation as a world-class purveyor of authentic Cuban soul. Boasting a book of Medrano’s finely wrought original tunes, the talent-packed Sabor De Mi Cuba features the soaring vocals of Julio Bouza, who hails from an illustrious Cuban musical clan.
