SF’s International “Pet Appreciation” Celebration (w/ Dog March + Look-a-Like Contests)

On June 21st – the day of the infamous Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” in China – let’s gather together for a heartfelt event honoring the love and companionship dogs and cats bring into our lives.

This free event is the grand finale of our 3rd annual International Pet Appreciation Celebration, a global outpouring of love for dogs and cats to protest the cruelty of the Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” and dog and cat meat trade that supplies it.

You and your well-socialized dogs are invited to join us under SPARK Social’s big striped tent – “The Porch” – for a fun day of entertainment, compassion, and inspiration.

Come hungry, SPARK Social is home to more than a dozen food trucks! The SPARK Social food and beverage vendors accept tap pay and credit cards.

Our drag queen ambassador, Elsa Touche, will MC the event which includes a Dog March, a Pet and Parent Look-a-like contest, art, music, raffles, and more. We will also share updates on our work to end the dog and cat meat trade and stop the Yulin Dog Meat “Festival.” We will send a strong message to Yulin and beyond: dogs and cats are family—not food.
