Japan Week is a summer cultural festival featuring performances, workshops & demonstrations in San Francisco Japantown.

Join us for our annual summer festival of Japanese arts and culture. Enjoy performances of taiko drumming, awa odori dance, Okinawan drumming and dance, karate, and shamisen. Get hands on and make your own washi ningyo paper doll, origami, or shodo calligraphy.

Come join us at the Japan Center East Mall, Studio Gen for a unique concert series curated by Francis Wong, co-founder of Asian Improv aRts, and a renowned composer and improviser of music. He will be joined by musical talents from the Bay Area.
