SF’s “Kite the Bay” Festival at Candlestick Point (2023)

California State Parks, Parks California, and SF Parks Alliance will host a kite festival called “Kite the Bay.” This free community event will be held at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area, a historic 252-acre urban state park, on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2023.

People of all ages are invited to bring kites or will be welcome to borrow kites that will be provided by California State Parks, Parks California, and SF Parks Alliance. The kite festival will also feature live music, food, face painting, and inspiration stations from local community organizations. This family-friendly event is part of a community-centered approach to strengthening relationships between the park and the surrounding neighborhood.
