The Nature Conservancy is celebrating the opening of its art installation, ‘Nature’s Future is Our Future’, in the pedestrian area of JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park on Earth Day, April 22, 2024 between 3pm PT and 6pm PT. The art installation highlights the importance of nature-based climate solutions and the launch event will involve music, food, and activities. The installation, which will be on display through December of this year, features 12 California historical markers from the future, written and designed by TNC and fabricated by Exploratorium staff. The markers invite viewers to experience two future Californias. One has invested in nature’s ability to protect us; the other has left nature behind.
