SF’s Powell Street Becomes NBA All-Star Alley (Feb. 14-16)

San Francisco’s Union Square is transforming into a basketball lover’s dream as NBA All-Star Weekend 2025 brings NBA All-Star Alley to the heart of the city. From Thursday, February 13, through Sunday, February 16, Powell Street between Market Street and Union Square will host a series of exciting NBA-themed activations, pop-ups, and community events.

What’s Happening at NBA All-Star Alley
NBA All-Star Alley will be a bustling hub of activities for fans of all ages, featuring:

• Pop-Up Stores: Powell Street storefronts will house exclusive pop-ups from NBA partners like American Express, Bleacher Report, Foot Locker, Puma, and more. These spaces will feature unique merchandise, interactive games, live podcast tapings, and appearances from NBA players and legends.
• Golden State Warriors Activations: The Warriors will host their own pop-up space, featuring appearances from Warriors and Valkyries players, live DJ performances, and collaborative events with Golden State Entertainment.
• Custom Basketball Court in Union Square: Artist Victor Solomon has designed a one-of-a-kind basketball court inspired by the Bay Area’s iconic bridges and rail lines. The court will host community clinics, basketball shooting contests, and surprise appearances from NBA players and legends.
• NBA-Themed Cable Cars: San Francisco’s iconic Powell Street Cable Cars will be wrapped with NBA All-Star 2025 branding throughout the weekend, adding to the citywide celebration.
• Live Mural Painting: On Thursday, February 13, local artist Rachel Wolfe-Goldsmith will create an NBA All-Star-themed mural in collaboration with the Bay Area Mural Project.
• Hoops & Heritage Showcase: In partnership with the San Francisco African American Chamber of Commerce, this showcase will celebrate culture, community, and small business inclusivity with more than 30 local, diverse vendors.

A Community Celebration
Union Square will come alive with events celebrating basketball and Bay Area culture. The Warriors Basketball Academy will host community clinics, while fans can enjoy shooting contests and spontaneous interactions with NBA stars. The activations are designed to unite fans, showcase local businesses, and highlight the vibrant spirit of San Francisco.
