Event Details

In the late 1990s, planners in San Francisco’s Presidio had a once-in-a-generation opportunity to take a former Army base in the middle of the second densest urban area in the country and restore its buried forgotten watershed, once an important water source for the Yelamu Ohlone people and native wildlife. Today, the project is nearly complete with the newest section, Quartermaster Reach, planned to open to the public in December of this year.
How did they do it? We’ll talk with Presidio Trust ecologist and Associate Director of Natural Resources Lew Stringer about the ideas, challenges, and successes of the restoration of the Tennessee Hollow Watershed in the heart of the city.
For more information, see “Restoring the Tennessee Hollow Watershed Fact Sheet” here: https://www.presidio.gov/…/fact-sheet-tennessee-hollow…
Zoom Reservations required. Once registered, the Webinar link and ID will be emailed to you.

We hope to see you there!
