San Francisco does CAKE PICNIC so well that we had to run it back!
This October, we’re gathering again to celebrate cake, community, and creativity on a scale we’ve never done before in the Bay. Expect a massive table overflowing with cakes from bakers across San Francisco and beyond. Every single one tells a story, and I can’t wait to taste and share them all with you against the backdrop of the city we love. This one is going to be huge.
For the very first time, we’re setting up our cake tables at Treasure Island, San Francisco’s newest neighborhood. Treasure Island recently unveiled its waterfront Cityside Park, which will serve as the stunning backdrop for this October’s CAKE PICNIC. The event will feature grand tables filled with cakes from bakers across the Bay Area and beyond. Guests are invited to enjoy this unique celebration of cake, community, and creativity while taking in panoramic views of the San Francisco skyline along the Bay.
And guess what? This tour stop just got lovelier! Guinness is proving that everyday is a lovely day for a Guinness by serving up Guinness Chocolate Cake that’s bold, creamy, and baked with the unmistakable taste of Guinness. Guinness has long been a baker’s secret weapon for those looking to experiment with taking their chocolate cake recipes to the next level! Its roasted barley and natural creaminess adds an unexpected depth and richness. It’s why bakers around the world reach for a can when they want to give their creations something unforgettable. Come taste how Guinness makes cake even bolder, and the day even lovelier.
Want more?! For over 170 years, Ghirardelli has been San Francisco’s signature chocolate maker, inspiring bakers everywhere to create desserts that are as indulgent as they are unforgettable. Their premium chocolate delivers unmatched smoothness and delicious flavor, perfect for elevating cakes to celebration-worthy heights. With Ghirardelli in the mix, this CAKE PICNIC tour stop will be A BITE BETTER™.
Behind it all, a theme is brewing. Guinness. Ghirardelli. Treasure Island. San Francisco. Hundreds and hundreds of cake. There’s only one word for it: GOLD. Bring a whole cake, your friends, and your biggest cake dreams to Treasure Island. This is the cake festival of San Francisco and we’re about to make it golden.
For the love of all things cake,
Elisa
CAKE PICNIC is a gathering for the love of cake. It celebrates cake in all of its forms. It brings communities and friends together for the sole purpose of breaking cake and enjoying the following butter and sugar highs. To be surrounded by as many cakes as there are humans is definitely something special, right? It is a moment in time where we come together for something truly sweet. Every attendee brings a whole cake. It is a feast for the ages and you just have to be there.
