Her lyrics in Tagalog, Waray and English languages speak to her cultural heritage and experiences as an immigrant from the Philippines. Since releasing her debut album CIRCA91 at the end of 2017, Ruby has become a beloved rap sensation with features in television, films and museum exhibits. She has toured across the United States and the Philippines, including universities, empowerment conferences, music venues and spaces such as the National Mall in Washington DC, the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Ruby has been featured in notable publications such as NPR, Huffington Post, Paper Mag, Buzzfeed, XXL Magazine, NY Times, LA Times, SF Chronicle and in a Grammys/MasterCard campaign with R&B singer SZA. In 2018, Ruby co-founded the Pinays Rising Scholarship program, and she continues to use her music to inspire and empower the next generation.
