If you’re in the mood for some genre redefining hip-hop, then look no further than Shabazz Palaces. Helmed by Palaceer Lazaro and Baba Maraire, this Seattle-based duo has been lighting up stages since 2009. Their work covers original pieces as well as remixes of other artists. They’ve worked with supergroup Woke, formed with Flying Lotus and Thundercat.

Shabazz Palaces is loved because of their remixing of classic, R&B sounds and blending them with electronic and modern techniques. Not to mention tight rhymes. Don’t miss ‘em when they hit up Great American Music Hall.
