Event Details

The Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival will present another Digital Concert online. The program will feature live performances from the Sierra Quartet, a California based string quartet that creates interesting and moving programs that showcase masterpieces of the classical era with newer works that shine with lyricism, originality, and creativity.

The musical selections will feature not only different styles of classical music, but also offer different looks at the ensemble and each of its four musicians. Each performer will present a short solo work, which will serve to both showcase their instrument and also introduce new composers such as the Belgian romantic Eugene Ysaye, the Portland based violist and composer Kenji Bunch, the San Francisco based jazz artist Julie Barwick, and the legendary Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara.

Following these short introductions, the quartet will come together to perform stunning quartets by W. A. Mozart, and Jessie Montgomery’s work “STRUM”, which was featured last at the Trinity Alps Chamber Music Festival’s 2019 Summer Series.
