This is a Parade/March organized by Sikhs of California to remember and pay gratitude to 5th Sikh Guru, Guru Arjun Dev, who was martyred while fighting for equality, and freedom of religion. This March also remembers the martyrs of Operation Bluestar, an attack on Golden Temple (Sacred Sikh Shrine) by Indian Army on June 6, 1984.

The annual Sikh Day Parade  will occur on Saturday, June 4, 2022 with a Remembrance Rally to follow at Civic Center Plaza. Parade formation begins at 11 a.m. The parade begins at 12 noon. The rally at Civic Center Plaza will go from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Streets will be closed and Muni will reroute transit service off Market Street as early at 10:00 a.m.
