Event Details

Take a trip through Italy in the Bay Area at the Silicon Valley Italian Festival, highlighting the best facets of Italian culture, food and history.

A series of workshops hosted by renowned guests will be held throughout the day, covering a variety of topics ranging from Italian culture to the beauty of the Italian artistic heritage, culinary traditions and the Italian Jewish community.

Two Italian movies will be screened and an exhibition of well-known Sicilian photographer Giuseppe Leone will supplement the screening, through the anachronistic and beautiful images of the island.

Viola Buitoni and Maria Luisa Manca, prominent Bay Area cooks, will teach a series of hands-on cooking classes centered around Jewish and Sicilian cuisines as well as Italian pasta making.

For kids, there will be a children’s cooking class, story telling and a children’s corner.

Wandering the Italian marketplace of handcrafted items will make you feel like you are browsing the small shops of Italy. Finally, discover or rediscover the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. Learn more at www.siliconvalleyitalianfestival.com
