Event Details

Deepa Iyer presents We Too Sing America: South Asian, Arab, Muslim, and Sikh Immigrants Shape Our Multiracial Future. In a timely conversation with fellow contributors, We Too Sing America explores the ongoing, state-sanctioned persecution of a range of American minorities from detentions, national registration programs, police profiling, and constant surveillance.

Deepa Iyer is a nationally renowned racial justice advocate and she’ll be joined by the book’s contributors to discuss and examine topics like Islamophobia, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim hysteria, and new reform movements like Black Lives Matter.
