Event Details

Sports Basement’s Potrero Hill store is hosting Wildflowers of the Greenbelt, a presentation by a member of the Greenbelt Alliance.

Spring is wildflower time in the Bay Area. Join Ken Lavin, outings and volunteer coordinator for Greenbelt Alliance, for a talk and slide presentation spotlighting the hidden life of our Bay Area wildflowers.

The presentation will include humorous anecdotes, fascinating flower folklore, and interesting tidbits about the unsung heroes: the plant pollinators. Ken will share his favorite flower-viewing spots, from the chaparral-covered slopes of Mount Diablo to the redwood-filled canyons of Mount Tamalpais.
