Free Wednesday Concert Night | Haight
The Milk Bar no longer hosts regular free Wednesday concert nights. There may still host free concerts, but not on a regular schedule.
The Milk Bar hosts their favorite bands on their weekly series, Milk Was A Bad Choice.
Each show is free with an RSVP on Eventbrite, or $5 at the door.
All shows will include live bands and a themed pop-up kitchen.
Born and raised San Francisco rockers, Solwave, take up residency at the Milk Bar for the final four Wednesdays in April as a kick off to their new release, The End of the Beginning.
Free, but an RSVP is required.
The End of the Beginning wears its Some Girls-era Stones and 90’s arena rock influences immodestly at times but Solwave is no band of whores. This millennial rock hybrid adds trip-hop and psych influences to their ep mix bag. Solwave teamed up with producers Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor) and Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, U2) on The End of the Beginning. They continue building on the regional swell they’ve accumulated from relentless independent touring in 2013 with this response to their growing audience. They averaged more than 100 shows over the past year. Solwave also sold out the legendary SF 500 seater, The Independent, in May 2013. Again, all without a label or an agent signed…yet.
April 9th will host Solwave alongside:
Nova Albion – A band from San Francisco
The Gallery – Subtly biting guitar sounds, road-worn lyricism and consistently sharp musicianship
