Being & Somethingness Opening Reception | SF

Alite Outpost in the Scott Ellsworth Gallery presents “Being and Somethingness”, an exhibition of new work by James Tucker of The Aesthetic Union. The show will feature a series of limited edition letterpress prints inspired by legendary natural landmarks in California.

With this series, Tucker sought to record his own experience of six inspiring destinations: Bolinas, Bishop, Donner Pass, Joshua Tree, Big Sur, and Sibley. Steeped in history and personal mythologies, these natural areas are household names in California and beyond. The opening reception for the show will also feature a custom soundtrack created and performed by DJ Wrong Way.
