Come join the Songkran Festival – the Thai, Lao, Myanmar and Cambodian New Year to honor our parents and ancestors through a festival full of art, food, and celebration. Admission is free.
They will have a main stage filled with Miss Songkran where anyone can participate, and Miss Som Tum Dance Competition where you must cook Papaya Salad while dancing at the same time.
Festivities will begin in the morning at the Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine restaurant where they will be having a special ceremony, offering food to the monks for good luck and fortune. If you’d like, you can also purchase food for the monks offering at the event as well.
Following that, the fun parade will be held at the main stage along with Thai cultural dance and live music throughout the event. There will also be Thai, Lao and Southeast Asian food vendors from all over Bay Area, a beer garden from Singha, and a booth for cocktails and mocktails from Mitte by Mitr Phol.
