Songs of the Soul

Slavyanka Chorus presents “Songs of the Soul” – a concert of Russian spiritual music. Music from the Orthodox Church – and also monastic poems of ancient chant, spiritual chants of the late 17th – early 18th centuries, folk poetry, songs of wandering lyre players or pilgrims, and even some deeply moving contemporary music on spiritual themes – as some performers used to say, “songs in the presence of God.”
