Southern Exposure marks its first 39 years of unwavering commitment to visual artists with a block party on Alabama and 20th Streets on September 21, 2013.
Witness performances and live works from artists of The Long Conversation: Cliff Hengst, Pawel Kruk, Lucas Murgida, Peter Simensky and Michael Zheng. Plus, join in Part 6 of Michael Swaine’s Twelve Moments of Brevity Spread Over One Year, a year-long series of enacted readings. Also presented is The Long Conversation, a project by Artists in Education students and nearly half a dozen presentations by past Alternative Exposure grantees.

Food trucks will be on site and drinks will be available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public, with extra special surprises for Southern Exposure members.
