Speakeasy Mondays continue with Kevin McCullough Trio, a swinging evening of all your favorite jazz standards and some ‘not-so-standards’! In addition to the Great American songbook songs you know and love, bandleader and pianist Kevin McCullough brings his own distinctive style to the setlist with original compositions, and jazz interpretations of tv, movie and video game themes. Joining Kevin on keys will be Doug Pohorski on bass and Bria Alexander on drums.

Kevin McCullough is an in-demand pianist, arranger, and educator, playing jazz, Afro-Cuban jazz and salsa, rock n’ roll, classic rock, soul, funk, top 40, and more. He has played solo piano, and in various ensembles for countless restaurants, hotels, weddings, wineries, music festivals, cruise ships, speakeasy and Gatsby-themed parties, fashion shows, and many other events and venues. He has shared the stage with many great musicians, including Grammy winners and nominees. As a music educator, he has given college master classes on Afro-Cuban jazz and arranging at various schools, including CSUMB, coached local jazz bands, taught at various jazz camps (including NMCUSD Jazz Camp along with members of Beyonce’s original band in 2019), and currently teaches elementary school music for the Oak Grove School District, where we was a recent recipient of the Innovative Spirit Award.
