Celebrate the end of WWII, the 1940s, and the greatest generation with a day full of music, dancing, memorabilia, and fun for the whole family from noon to 5 pm on August, 10, 2013.
The 14 acre History Park is transported back to the summer of 1945 with restored military and civilian cars, WWII reenactors, and a Vintage Clothing Flea Market. Also see live performances by the Swingin’ Blue Stars and the Serenaders big band.
The Homecoming Parade starts at 12:30 pm sharp. Afterwards there will be swing dancing, a ’40s hair and make up booth, kids’ activities, trolley rides, a ‘40s fashion show and WWII Memorabilia.
There will also be a 1945 dance party ($10) on Friday, August 9 and a special baseball game on Sunday August 11, 2013.
