Spring in SF is an abundant time–spring crops like peas, spinach, lettuces are coming in fast but it is also time to plant your warm season garden–basil, tomatoes, zucchini–as well. In this workshop we will discuss how to gracefully pivot from spring to summer, including discussion of crop varieties that thrive in our climate, ideal planting times. We will also discuss planting techniques, nutrient needs, basic irrigation requirements, and more. The session will also include a short introduction to the idea of Integrated Pest Management as a method to fend off common weeds, pests, and diseases of the garden. Bring veggie and fruit gardening questions–there will be time for a Q and A!
