This enchanting evening celebrates the soul-stirring beauty of Indian classical music, featuring the expressive tones of the Sarod, masterfully played by Amit Gud, accompanied by the rhythmic brilliance of Skanda Krishnan on Tabla. The Sarod is a fretless, stringed instrument and the Tabla is a pair of hand drums. Both instruments originate from the Indian subcontinent and are essential to Indian classical music.
As Spring unfolds, immerse yourself in the intricate, meditative rhythms and melodic improvisations that have captivated listeners for centuries. Whether you are a seasoned aficionado or a newcomer to Indian classical music, this concert promises an intimate and unforgettable experience. Join us for a celebration of musical mastery, spirituality, and the eternal beauty of spring.
This concert is open to all at no cost. We are supported by your generosity (dana). Donations are accepted and no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
