Event Details

In this wonderful conjuncture of performance and literary art, a graphic novelist is part of a cast doing a stage reading accompanied by a full-sized slideshow of his creation, The Legend of Hedgehog Boy.

A year in the making, this one-night-only performance has graphic artist René Capone (right) joined on stage by a cast of off-centered San Francisco performers to dramatically read the entire, three-book, Hedgehog Boy saga which is full of metaphors. Imagery from the book will be projected on a large movie screening on stage.

Stick around for a Q&A session, book signing and post-performance reception in the lobby. The reading is part of the Queer Cultural Center’s month-long National Queer Arts Festival.

Doors open at 7 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Admission is $12 on a sliding scale and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
