This Friday at the de Young The Guardian Presents “Starry Night Over the Bay”: A Van Gogh inspired celebration of post-impressionist masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay.
In the public spaces of the de Young, there’s live music, DJs, a free photo booth, Tableaux Vivants: Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec ( Jef Valentine), and Paul Gauguin (Marius Starkey). Watch them paint and have your portrait taken.
Plus: Stargaze at the SF Amateur Astronomers telescope station. The SFAA will be providing telescopes for free public viewing of the skies. Look out into space to see our Moon, Jupiter, distant star clusters, and much, much more. Members will also be giving sky tours focusing on constellations and other objects of interest (weather permitting).

About Friday Nights at the De Young
On Friday nights the entire museum is open until 8:45 p.m. Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, and lectures. The cafe is open with a special Friday Nights dinner menu, and a no-host cocktail bar is serving drinks. There are art making activities for everyone. All Friday Night programming is free unless otherwise noted.
