This summer marks the 100th anniversary of the National Parks Service and they’re celebrating with Dan White and his new book Under the Stars: How America Fell in Love with Camping.

From the Sierras to the Adirondacks and the Everglades, White travels the nation to experience firsthand how the American wilderness has been transformed. Wide-ranging in research, enthusiasm, and geography, Under the Stars is humorous and informative take on the evolution of camping in America.
