All the way from Mexico City, the 70 member Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico (that’s “State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico” for those of us who failed high school spanish) brings the music of their people to the Marin stage.
Enjoy traditional Mexican and Spanish music without the hassle of those long flights and border lines. Founded in 1971 by renowned conductor Batiz, the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de Mexico (say that 5 times fast) has toured as far as China and throughout Europe. Their rich melodic arrangements are sure to leave you wanting “mas.”
