The Conundrum Chronicles uses a StorySlam format that challenges storytellers to share a five-minute story about a moral dilemma they have confronted. (First time storytellers are especially welcome). Audience members are then invited to discuss, and score each story based on the elements of the stories, giving meaningful feedback to the storytellers.
The Theme for September is “The Be All and The End All.” Storytellers may share a tale about a true, personal moment when everything seemed to hinge on one decision, event, or belief — a time when something felt like the ultimate purpose, the final word, or the point of no return. Whether it was a career-defining choice, a relationship that meant everything, or a belief you once held as absolute, tell us about the moment it felt like this was it — for better or worse.
The Featured Storyteller, Tom Darci, co-hosts the story-telling series Pretty Good Stories )prettygoodstories.org) with Beau Ryder Davis. People have amazing experiences, and Tom is here for it, looking for truth as revealed in the most specific of moments. He is a Massachusetts native who has lived in the Bay Area since age 23. He and his wife raised three kids in Oakland. Prior to taking the stage as a storyteller, Tom acted on several Bay Area stages, including: A Traveling Jewish Theater, Berkeley Playhouse, Aurora Theatre, TheatreFIRST and Theatre Rhinoceros.
