Event Details

The San Francisco Amateur Astronomers are pleased to offer this visually stunning lecture. Free and open to the public.

New technologies can sometimes open the door for the creation of new types of art. The advancing imaging hardware and software technologies in the last decade have made possible the creation of art with astrophotography. Gary Lopez is one of the first to explore astrophotography as a fine art. In this presentation he will discuss the processes he has developed to create his images, including his adaptation of the classical elements of fine art photography. A collection of Gary’s images will be on display.
