Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast is a show that features other comedy soundcasts (AKA “podcasts”) and in an effort to not only expose audiences to the wide range of comedy offerings available, but also to broaden the appeal of podcasts in general.

Hosted by Marc Hershon, whose background in the worlds of comedy, writing and product naming gives him the chops necessary to come off sounding like a blustering know-it-all.

Performers

Bill Heywatt
America’s Second Favorite Assistant Booth Announcer – is proud to have been a part of Succotash from the “get-go”. Bill’s resume reads like a road map of small-town USA, spending decades filling in for the pros at stations like KHIH-AM in Honolulu, HI, KCUF “The Boss 690” in Crescent City CA, WKKK-TV in Montgomery AL, KSDC-TV in Grand Forks ND, and WJJP-TV in Joplin, MO to name but a few.

Cole Stratton
Cole Stratton wears a lot of hats. Not literal ones, as he has a tiny head and it just doesn’t look right. He is the co-founder of SF Sketchfest, the San Francisco Comedy Festival, a month-long annual event highlighting the best in improv, sketch, stand-up, TV and film comedy.

Marc Hershon
Marc Hershon, host and executive producer of Succotash, the Comedy Soundcast Soundcast, likes to think of himself as a Renaissance Man minus the Black Plague. He tends to do a number of things concurrently which is how he’s managed, in the past 30 years, to be a radio announcer, produced live comedy shows, writes comedy, performs and teaches improv, draws a weekly editorial cartoon, has written TV movies for the Hallmark Channel, authored a business book (I Hate People), has performed a half dozen weddings, and is a branding professional who has helped to bering to life such memorable names as BlackBerry, Swiffer, and Dasani.

Paco Romane
Paco Romane’s authentic, engaging, and unpredictable style has established him as an audience favorite. His act is a “mashup of all things funny – stand up, sketch, improv, you name it” – and with his experience in improv and sketch comedy he’ll regularly spin any live moment with the crowd into his act. Paco has appeared on Comedy Central, is a frequent guest on The Todd Glass Show and was twice voted Best Comedian in San Francisco.

Wayne Federman
Wayne Federman is a comedian, actor, and writer. He has been touring clubs, colleges, alternative rooms, and theaters for over 30 years. He has performed on “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon and has his own stand‐up special on Comedy Central. Wayne has appeared in over twenty films including “Knocked Up,” “Step Brothers,” “The 40‐Year‐Old Virgin,” “Legally Blonde,” “50 First Dates,” “Funny People,” and many more.

Will Durst
Will Durst is an Emmy nominated political comic, nationally syndicated columnist, author, one- man show performer and sworn enemy to all tyrants foreign and domestic. Heis a 5 time Emmy nominated political satirist, 7 time nominee for Best Male Stand- Up of the Year, a nationally syndicated columnist, author of 4 books, has released 5 CDs and is sworn enemy to all tyrants foreign and domestic.
