The City of Hayward is partnering with the Sudanese Association for Northern California to present Sudan Culture Fest – a day of celebration and festivity in downtown Hayward!
Sudan is a country in North East Africa, with a diaspora population of around 1500 people in Northern California. It’s a diverse country with more than 500 ethnicities, languages, rich cultures, and a history of powerful civilizations dating back thousands of years.
COME EXPERIENCE SUDANESE CULTURE
Enjoy the vibes of live music, poetry, live storytelling and dance on the all-day entertainment stage
Indulge in our traditional savory and sweet foods and drinks, with live cooking demonstrations and live traditional coffee making
Explore the various peoples of Sudan through tents representing the diverse regions of Sudan through handicrafts, art, clothing, instruments, history exhibits, and more
Engage in activities, traditional games, interactive and hands-on fun
