Outdoor Movie Night: “Monsters University” | East Bay

Bring the entire family, a picnic dinner, low-back small chairs, and blankets for an outdoor screening of Monsters University.

Bring along your camera to take pictures with a special guest (hint: he’s a movie star and he’s blue).

Meet up at the park at 6 pm to enjoy some music, visit with local vendors, obtain health and wellness information and play with their Mobile Recreation Program. The screening will start at dusk or approximately 8:15 pm. There will be free giveaways for children in attendance.

Bring cash if you want a bite from the Little League snack bar.

Monsters University takes us back in time for a first look into the developing relationship of star Monsters, Inc. employees Mike and Sully during their college years at Monsters University, where they meet but aren’t quite the best of friends. This frightfully fun Disney/Pixar coming-of-age story depicts the life of two rivals who once dreamed of the day they would make children shriek in terror. Yet their competitive drive to be the most fearsome in their class gets the duo ejected from the prestigious Scare Program and are forced to seek the aid of their oddball friend to get their life back on track.
