Event Details

Join us for an opening ceremony for the Summer Reading Challenge, a contest for readers ages 18+ to win prizes for reading. We’ll have printed Reading Logs to track your hours, as well as lots of beer and cheer.

Summer Reading Challenge – Opening Ceremony

Sun, June 22

11:30am – 2:30pm

Green Apple Books / Clement Street Farmers Market

We’re starting with a parade with the Lowell High School Drump Corps at 11:45am at Clement/Arguello. At noon, we’ll arrive at Green Apple Books for a celebratory toast and a few words from the event organizers.

11:30am – Meet at Clement/Arguello

11:45am – March down the farmers market

12pm – Kickoff at Green Apple Books

Challenge starts: Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 12:00pm

Challenge ends: Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 12:00pm
