Event Details

Celebrate the end of our Summer Reading Program with a lively performance from the Saint Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band! Join us in Pioneer Park (behind the Library) for free refreshments and experience the sound of New Orleans as you bask in the sunshine. Frozen treats will be served at 3 p.m. and the concert will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Please bring your own blankets and chairs.

Saint Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band was originally formed in 1990 as the first and only authentic New Orleans-style marching funeral brass band in California. They have been sharing the musical culture of New Orleans all around the world for over 30 years. The band has an enormous and eclectic repertoire of music spanning 120 years of American jazz, blues and soul music. And with their great improvisational skills, they can make almost any song their own.
