Sun Bum “Trust The Bum” Tour: Free Haircuts + Free Sunscreen (SF)

WHAT

Sun Bum is closing out the Trust The Bum Tour at San Francisco’s legendary Carnaval Festival with a two-day sendoff full of music, shopping, and tons of free SPF. The brand will be marching in the Grand Parade alongside local partners City Surf Project, SFUSD Mariachi, and the Community Music Center – and teaming up with Barber and Gent to offer Sonny-inspired buzz cuts to fans in attendance. This event marks the tenth and final stop on Sun Bum’s first-ever nationwide tour, created to spread sun safety and awareness through unexpected and unforgettable experiences coast-to-coast.

Across May 24-25, Sun Bum will be on the ground at Carnaval with a full-on festival footprint offering free sunscreen, limited-edition tour merch, and sun care tips to parade-goers all weekend long. Attendees in need of a fresh cut can swing by the booth for a free Sonny-inspired fade from local favorite Barber and Gent–and those bold enough to meet the clippers will take home a Vinyl Sonny (yes, complete with a gold chain). Expect good vibes, surprise giveaways, and plenty of moments worth stopping for!

The Trust The Bum tour kicked-off with a taco truck pop-up in New York City, where more than 600 people lined up as early as 5 AM for a chance to score free tacos and SPF. From there, it hit Tuck Fest in North Carolina, broke a world record for most spectators in banana suits with the Savannah Bananas in Georgia, and marched in New Orleans’s iconic Second Line Parade. The tour culminates at San Francisco’s Carnaval following a months-long journey across the country, bringing free sunscreen, good vibes, and unforgettable experiences to a total of 10 cities.
