“Sunday Streets” SF’s Free Street Festival & Block Party (2026)

San Francisco’s 2026 season of Sunday Streets returns with four events across The City. Since 2008, Sunday Streets has transformed San Francisco’s streets into car-free community spaces, bringing neighbors together for a day of connection, movement, and fun.

Sunday Streets 2026 Season Schedule

Please note that full details, schedule and times are still TBA as of 5/12/2026.

  • June 14, 2026: Tenderloin
  • July 19, 2026: Mission
  • August 23, 2026: Bayview
  • October 18, 2026: Excelsior

Sunday Streets take place in diverse neighborhoods across the City, including the Tenderloin, Mission, Excelsior, and Bayview. Each event features fun free active play games, cultural performances, health resources, live music and more with the goal of connecting San Franciscans on car-free open streets.

EVENT UPDATE: Sunday Streets Mission on 3.8 is cancelled per the City’s recommendations to control COVID-19 contagion.

On March 8, Sunday Streets kicks off a season of open streets. From Duboce Ave to 26th St, Valencia Street transforms into a car-free community space for all to enjoy. Join the international open streets movement to reclaim open space for public use.

Enjoy 1.5+ miles of car-free community space for you and your neighborhood to enjoy. Come check out Activity Hubs on 16th and 24th Streets for free fun, family-friendly activities offered by local nonprofits, community groups, and small businesses.

Pick up an Activity Guide at a Sunday Streets Info Booth to plan your day. Walk, dance, skate, bike, play, and explore the whole route while taking in live music, education & professional development resources, blood pressure screenings, food demos and more.

Check out two Activity Hubs at 24th and 16th Streets and over a mile of live music, interactive art projects and open space for recreation and social connection. In partnership with Mission Housing (MHDC), a Pop-up Play Streets block in front of Valencia Gardens brings sports games, bubbles, fun activities and more for residents and neighbors to come together.
